Over the course of the investigation, the Mobile Police Department identified and located the suspect responsible for the death of 89-year-old John Higby during an apparent robbery at the Dauphin Square Shopping Center parking lot, 3170 Dauphin Street. Higby's murder occurred Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at approximately 12:50 p.m.
Greg O’Neal Hackett, 28, has been arrested. Hackett is charged with two counts of capital murder.
