Mobile Police makes an arrest in the homicide that occurred at Sunset on the Bayou Apartments.
On Wednesday May 20, 2020 at approximately 9:54 a.m., police responded to 2001 Brill Road in reference to the report of one shot. Upon arrival, officers located 27-year-old Xavier Portlock down in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. Portlock died on the scene as a result of his injury.
Officers located the shooter who was identified as 26-year-old Samuel Darrington. Darrington was arrested and charged with murder and discharging a firearm into an unoccupied vehicle.
