BANK ROBBERY

On November 19, 2008 at approximately 10:30, Mobile Police responded to a report of a Bank Robbery at Wachovia Bank located at 2745 Government Blvd. Officers learned on the scene that two individuals, entered the location, one armed with a handgun and demanded money. The subjects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of currency.

Robbery Investigators responded to the scene and conducted the investigation. Their investigation led them to a residence in the 3100 block of Kendale Drive. Upon arrival, officers observed one subject run towards the door of the residence. The subject was taken into custody without incident.

Tactical Officers were subsequently called to the scene due to other subjects remaining inside the residence. Officers initiated commands for all individuals inside the residence to exit. One subject exited the location with a two year old child in custody. The subject and child were taken into custody without incident. Tactical Officers initiated commands for the remaining occupants to exit the residence. After receiving no response, officers deployed a diversionary device while making entry into the residence.

While inside the residence, officers also located another subject hiding in the attic of the location. The subject was also apprehended without incident. Officers recovered an undisclosed amount of currency and a handgun from the location.

Robbery Investigators arrested and charged two subjects, Lamarcus Horn (25) and Keinan Howard (27) with Robbery First Degree. The third subject was released with no charges.
