BEL-AIR COMPASS BANK ROBBED

On November 20, 2008 at approximately 10:45 A.M., a black male entered the Compass Bank located at 321 Bel Air Boulevard, pushed the teller, grabbed an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene.

During the investigation, officers developed leads that led to the arrest of Jeffrey Jones (27) in an apartment in the 2500 block of Emogene Street. Jones was arrested after falling through the ceiling of an apartment while hiding in the attic. In addition, and undisclosed amount of money was recovered from the scene.

Jones was charged with Federal Bank Robbery and transported to Mobile County Metro Jail.
