Burglary Arrest Clears Multiple Cases

During the months of June and July 2011, Mobile Police Department's First Precinct Felony Apprehension Street Team (FAST) and General Investigators began an investigation in the area of Pleasant Valley Road and Government Street due to an increase in residential and vehicle burglary cases.
During the investigation, Matthew Wesley Fitzpatick was identified as a suspect in relation to multiple burglaries. On August 3, 2011, Fitzpatrick was arrested for Theft of Property Second Degree, four counts of Burglary Third Degree and Receiving Stolen Property Third Degree.
An additional 15 property crime cases were cleared in this area with the arrest of Fitzpatrick. This investigation is ongoing.
