CARJACKING SUSPECT APPREHENDED

On December 06, 2008, at approximately 11:55 P.M. officers responded to the Wal-Mart located at 101 East I- 65 Service Road in reference to a carjacking. The victim told police that she was approached by a black male armed with a handgun. The suspect forced the victim into her vehicle and drove her vehicle a short distance before letting her out of the vehicle.

On December 07, 2008, officers responded to Club Illusions located at 3679 Airport Boulevard at approximately 3:15 A.M. The victim told police that she was returning to her vehicle when she was approached by a black male armed with a handgun. The armed male forced her into her vehicle passenger's side. The subject drove the victim a short distance before letting her out of the vehicle.

On December 07, 2008, at 8:16 P. M. officers responded to Wal-Mart located at 101 East I-65 in reference to a carjacking. The victim told police that she was approached by a black male armed with a handgun. The subject forced the victim inside her vehicle. The subject drove the victim a short distance before the victim jumped out of the vehicle.

On December 13, 2008, at approximately 1:45 A.M. officers responded to Breakers Billiards located at 3679 Airport Boulevard in reference to a carjacking. The victim told police she was approached by a male subject armed with a handgun. The subject forced her into her vehicle and drove her to Alabama Village where he sexually assaulted her before letting her go.

On December 14, 2008, investigation lead to the suspect being identified as Frank Thomas Hicks (26). On this same day at approximately 4:07 A. M. Hicks was arrested 1527 Albatross Drive and transported to Metro jail charged with four counts of Robbery First degree, four counts of Kidnapping First degree and one count of Rape First Degree.
