On Thursday, August 22, 2024, at approximately 8:05 p.m., officers responded to 2889 Sollie Road (Charleston Apartment Homes) in reference to a homicide investigation. Upon arrival, officers observed a male victim deceased inside of the apartment unit. Upon further investigation, officers discovered the victim was cut by a knife during an altercation with a known subject.
The victim has been identified as Taylor Rawlins, 33.
On Thursday night, the subject, Jennifer Heathcoe, 31, was arrested and transported to Metro Jail.
This remains an active investigation and no further information will be released at this time.
