Chronology of Drug Nuisance at 1256 Partridge Street

Chief James Barber, as part of the ongoing operation into the drug nuisance at 1256 Partridge Street, is releasing the chronology of the narcotics investigation that necessitated these actions. The results of this operation led to the Mobile Police Department filing a temporary restraining order against the homeowner, Edward James, and the arrest and eviction of the tenant, Carolyn James.

On February 24, 2014, the Mobile Police Department Narcotics/Vice Unit began a long-term investigation in reference to illegal drug activity at 1256 Partridge Street. On the following dates, cooperating witnesses made these drug purchases from the location:
• February 24, 2014 — 0.1 grams of crack cocaine
• February 25, 2014 — 2 grams of crack cocaine
• February 26, 2014 — 2 grams of crack cocaine
• February 28, 2014 — 4 grams of crack cocaine
• March 6, 2014 — 3.8 grams of marijuana
• March 6, 2014 — 0.1 grams of crack cocaine
• March 10, 2014 — 2 grams of crack cocaine
• March 12, 2014 — 2 grams of crack cocaine
• March 17, 2014 — 4 grams of crack cocaine
• March 25, 2014 — 0.1 grams of crack cocaine

On April 3, 2014, a search warrant was executed at the location and the following subjects were arrested:
• Travis Jones — Possession of a Controlled Substance (Spice) and Loitering for the Purpose of Drug Activity
• Terry Cage - Possession of a Controlled Substance (Spice) and Loitering for the Purpose of Drug Activity
• James Pritchett - Possession of a Controlled Substance (Spice) and Loitering for the Purpose of Drug Activity
• Lanae Johnson - Loitering for the Purpose of Drug Activity

On April 22, 2014, 0.1 grams of crack cocaine was purchased from the location.

On April 25, 2014, a search warrant was executed and the following subjects were arrested:
• Carolyn James — Drug Paraphernalia and Loitering for the Purpose of Drug Activity
• Mary Deas - Loitering for the Purpose of Drug Activity
• Demetrius Davis - Loitering for the Purpose of Drug Activity
• Brian Graham - Loitering for the Purpose of Drug Activity as well as three active warrants for Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana First Degree and Drug Paraphernalia

On May 22, 2014, 0.1 grams of crack cocaine was purchased from the location.

On May 29, 2014, a search warrant was conducted at the location where Spice, cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found. Carolyn James was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine), Possession of Marijuana Second Degree and Drug Paraphernalia.

To date, the following people are wanted in regards to this operation:
• Mary Deas — One count of Distribution
• Samuel Dueberry — Two counts of Distribution
• Michael Price — One count of Distribution
• Unknown black male, known as "Murder" — Five counts of Distribution
