Clarissa Robbins Receives Civilian Employee of the Month Award

The Mobile Police Department honored Clarissa Robbins with the Civilian Employee of the Month Award for October 2019. Since March 2018, Robbins has been assigned to the Planning and Research Unit and is responsible for completing accreditation standards. Her co-workers describe her as honest, dependable, eager to learn and willing to complete tasks that are put on her at the last minute.

The Mobile Police Department is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). Robbins is charged with completing over 200 CALEA standards that must be proven each year by researching and communicating with the entire department to collect documentation. She is often able to handle additional work while making sure she doesn’t fall behind on her regular duties and even finds time to help others.

In October, Robbins was asked to make identification cards for the Police Academy graduates as well as outfit a dozen Urban Development employees with identification cards, which is a time-consuming task. She organized and completed this assignment with complete professionalism all while working with numerous personalities.

Robbins’ is commended for her attention to detail and tenacious dedication to professionalism. She has been an employee of the Mobile Police Department since March 2013.
