In 2013, the Mobile Police Department has had occasion to detain 128 juveniles. The demographics of the juveniles detained by the Curfew Center to date are comprised of 83 males and 45 female juveniles. Of these, 73 were black, 49 were white, three were Asian and two unknown. 41 of these juveniles was detained during school hours (from 0900-1430) while another 86 were detained during non-school, or night time hours. The ages are as follows: One was 11, four were 12, 11 were 13 years old, 16 were 14, 22 were 15, 24 were 16, 39 were 17 and 10 unknown. The break down by Precinct is as follows: First Precinct 39, Second Precinct 24, Third Precinct 34, Fourth Precinct 10, and Fifth Precinct 20.
