Double Homicide Case Solved and Closure Brought to Victims\' Families

The Mobile Police Department has made an arrest in the double homicide case that occurred Thursday, December 21, 2017 at approximately 11:17 p.m. The victims, 20-year-old Kenneth Foster and 19-year-old James Rutledge, were found deceased in front of a residence on the 2100 block of Felix Street.

Darrell Watts, 21, was booked into Metro Jail this morning and faces two murder charges.

Through the course of the investigation and in conjunction with members of the community, homicide detectives were able to bring the case to a resolution and bring closure to the victims’ families.  This is clearly an example of how community efforts and relationships with law enforcement officials are essential to protecting our city.
