DUI Checkpoints

On May 27th and 28th, 2011, Mobile Police conducted a roving DUI detail in various parts of Mobile. Traffic stops were made during evening hours to ensure citizen safety and that motorist were complying with state and local DUI and traffic laws.

Mobile Police also participated in statewide "Click It or Ticket" safety belt check on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, 2011.

Over the three day period Mobile Police issued 1,540 citations, made arrests for 10 DUI offenses, and separate arrest for 13 felonies, and 53 misdemeanors.
