EARLY MORNING WARRANT ROUND-UP VI

On June 2, 2009 at 5:00 AM members of the Mobile Police Department Tactical Response, and Jaguar Units conducted a warrant roundup in the Azalea Road area of west Mobile. The operation focused on locating and arresting individuals with one or more outstanding misdemeanor warrants in the community. A majority of the warrants were for unpaid traffic tickets.

During today's operation, officers arrested 14 individuals and cleared 31city warrants and 3 traffic related warrants for Mobile County Sheriff Department. A number of the warrants were cash bonds, representing just over $6200 dollars to be paid to the city. Mobile Warrants Unit currently has over 27,000 warrants and uses operations like these to assist in clearing these cases.
