On Thursday, May 16, 2024, at approximately 4:03 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Gaston Street in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim outside of the residence with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. At this time, this remains an active investigation as we continue to search for the subject.
The name of the deceased will be released upon notification of the next of kin. No further details will be released at this time to protect the integrity of this case.
