On Sunday, April 17, 2022, at approximately 4:37 a.m., police officers responded to University Hospital in reference to a shooting in the parking lot. Upon arrival, officers located 42-year-old Robert McMillian, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was treated at the hospital but later died from his injuries.
This investigation is ongoing. No additional details will be released at this time to protect the integrity of the investigation.

Update:
Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify Algernon Grayson, 22, as the subject involved. On June 9, 2022, he was arrested and charged with murder and shooting into an unoccupied vehicle.
