On Saturday, January 11, 2020 at approximately 2:22 p.m., police responded to Cottage Hill Place Apartments located at 7600 Cottage Hill Road in reference to the report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers discovered a crime scene and started the investigation.
Officers later received a call that a male victim arriving at Providence Hospital had been shot. The victim, who was identified as 24-year-old Dexter McGrew, died as a result of his injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
