The Mobile County Grand Jury has recently indicted a 22-year-old male subject on charges of Murder and Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Dwelling in connection with the unsolved murder case of Chantaye Kitt, a 26-year-old woman who was shot on September 29, 2017, outside a residence on the 4000 block of Palmdale Drive.

After an extensive investigation, authorities identified a male subject. It is important to note that the individual involved in the incident was a minor at the time, sixteen years of age, and therefore his name cannot be released. Currently, the subject, 22 years old, is serving time in the Alabama Department of Corrections for an unrelated conviction.

The indictment represents a significant milestone in the ongoing quest for justice for Chantaye Kitt and her family. The Mobile Police Department remains steadfast in its dedication to ensuring that individuals responsible for violent crimes are held accountable for their actions.
