Homicide on First Avenue

On October 31, 2012, at 9:16 p.m. Mobile Police were notified that an adult male had been transported to USA Medical Center with a stab wound to his abdomen, and officers were able to determine the incident occurred in the 2700 block of First Ave. A family member found the victim in the driveway of the residence and transported him to the hospital by private vehicle. Detectives were not able to speak with the victim because he was in surgery.





Update





On November 1, 2012 the victim that was stabbed on First Ave has been identified as Raymond Aikens. Mr. Aikens while at USA Medical Center has died from his injuries. Homicide Detectives, while continuing the investigation, have identified the person that stabbed Mr. Aikens. After presenting the evidence to the District Attorney's Office, the case will be presented to a Grand Jury for consideration.
