Jun 12th, 2024

The Mobile Police Department has named Jade Davis as the Civilian Employee of the Month for May 2024. Davis serves as a Secretary 2 in the Criminal Investigations Section. She is recognized for a job well done in coordinating the 2024 MPD Awards Ceremony. Her input, ideas, and decisions employed led to a successful event.

Davis organized the award nominations that were submitted to the awards committee and created the awards ceremony itinerary. She spent countless hours formatting excel spreadsheets to account for the overwhelming amounts of award submissions and number of members projected to be in attendance via RSVP notifications. There was a total of 193 awards for the department’s 168 recipients.

Working in conjunction with the Public Information Office and the event’s mistress of ceremony Kym Anderson of NBC 15 News, she ensured each award recipient received their time in the spotlight.

Davis has a natural ability for multi-tasking. In addition to her normal daily duties, she aids citizens with walk-in complaints, providing the utmost level of customer service, respect, and professionalism. She is often called upon by various members of the department and the executive staff to perform tasks outside of the normal scope of her assignment.

According to her supervisor, Davis always performs her duties exceptionally. She is a selfless employee who goes out of her way for anyone and does so on a consistent basis. And she comes to work each day presenting a kind, warm and humble attitude.
