The Mobile Law Enforcement Foundation is hosting JAZZ and JEANS, an event for the public to mix and mingle with law enforcement. It will take place July 19 at the Azalea Manor, 751 Dauphin St., from 7 to 10 p.m. Music entertainment will be provided by the Excelsior Brass Band.
The cost of the evening is a tax deductible donation of $10 per person that includes a menu of smoked sausage, chicken jambalaya, corn and shrimp fritters, andouille sausage, and a cash bar.
JAZZ and JEANS is an opportunity for citizens to ask questions, thank the officers who patrol their area and share their thoughts about public safety.
Tickets can be purchased in advance with cash or check at police headquarters, 2460 Government Blvd., or pay at the door the day of the event. Businesses may reserve a table for a group of 10 or more, and tickets will be delivered to the business. Donation receipts are available.
