MAN ARRESTED FOR COUNTERFEIT CHECK WRITING

On October 2, 2008, Mobile Police arrested Wiley Wynn Jr, after several weeks of investigation stemming from leads from different sources of counterfeit check writing.

At 9:30 A.M. Police executed a search warrant at Wynn's residence located at 724 Iwo-Jima Drive East. Once inside police discovered computer equipment, check printing equipment and blank checks. These items were recovered as evidence. In addition police discovered Marijuana and Cocaine inside of the residence.

Wynn printed at least fifty counterfeit checks. The loss is estimated at approximately 45,000.00. More arrest and charges are expected. Wynn (26) arrested and charged with Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, Theft by Deception, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Marijuana 2nd Degree.
