Apr 14th, 2017

On Thursday, April 13, 2017 at approximately 9:20 p.m. the victim was enroute to her residence when two unknown male subjects occupying a 4-door sedan forced her to stop. One suspect, identified as 25-year-old Jaquail Busby, exited the vehicle and at gunpoint forced the victim to drive him to a cemetery where he held her at gunpoint until morning.

At approximately 6:15 a.m. on Friday, April 14, 2017, Busby forced the victim to drive to Easy Money located at 7740 Airport Blvd. Once at the location, Busby forced the victim inside to open and retrieve cash from the safe while he remained in the vehicle.

While Busby was sitting in the vehicle, the second victim arrived at work. Busby forced her at gunpoint inside the business and then left.

Units searched the area of Border Circle North and Cedar Street looking for Busby. The MPD K-9 Unit located and detained Busby.

Officers arrested Busby and charged him with two counts of first-degree robbery, two counts of first-degree kidnapping, and certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm.
