Mobile Police Arrest a Homicide Suspect

On November 4, 2010 at 10:00 p.m. Mobile Police responded to a report of a man shot during a robbery at the Dominos Pizza located 2912 Dauphin Island Parkway. The victim identified as 21 year old Russell Lee Allen was transported to the University of South Alabama Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.

Homicide detectives began the investigation, and on November 15, 2010, at approximately 9:30 a.m., detectives while following up on a citizens tip, located 18 year old John Earl Dortch in the 900 block of West Tangle Wood Drive. Investigators have determined that Dortch is responsible for the death of Russell Lee Allen and have arrested him and charged him with Capital Murder.
