Mobile Police Arrest a Robbery Suspect

On January 10, 2013 Mobile Police have charged 17 year old Patrick Lorenzo Smith for multiple robberies and an assault.

On January 8, 2013 at 1:32 p.m. Mobile Police responded to the 300 block of Laurel Drive for a report of a robbery and a theft. While investigating the incident, police located one of the stolen vehicles on Telegraph Road. While pursuing the stolen vehicle, 25 year old Leroy McCaskill Junior Anderson crashed the vehicle and later died.

On the scene of the crash, detectives arrested Patrick Smith on separate charges and placed him in Strickland Youth Center while they continued their investigation.

Investigators have also determined that Smith is responsible for a robbery and shooting that occurred at Tri-centennial Park on December 20, 2012.

Patrick Lorenzo Smith has been charged with two counts of Robbery First Degree, two counts of Theft of Property First Degree, and Assault Second Degree.
