Mobile Police Arrest an Assault Suspect

On July 17, 2013 at approximately 8:15 a.m. Mobile Police responded to Ann Street and Arlington Street for a report of a male that had been shot. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Detectives began the investigation and were able to identify the suspect as 29 year old Darren Sykes. He was arrested today at a residence on Sligo Street and has been charged with Assault First Degree and Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle.
