Mobile Police Arrest Methadone Dealers, Close Convenience Store

On September 4, 2014, Mobile Police Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at Unique Beer and Wine Convenience Store at 1957 West Prichard Avenue in reference to 60 year-old Mack McMillian and 56 year-old Rick McMillian illegally selling methadone from the location.
The investigation revealed the suspects sold methadone and other narcotics to area individuals for illegal, street-level distribution and use. Mack McMillian was arrested and charged with seven counts of Distribution of a Controlled Substance while Rick McMillian was charged with two counts of Distribution of a Controlled Substance.
"The Mobile Police Department will continue to be diligent in shutting down businesses who continue to sell illegal drugs in the community," said Mobile Police Chief James Barber. "We will continue to maintain zero tolerance until the issue is eradicated."
