Mobile Police Arrest Robbery Suspect

On July 18, 2011, Mobile Police arrested Shedrick Sovell Randolph for Robbery First Degree in regards to an incident involving today's robbery of Airport Video at 7161 Airport Boulevard.

At approximately 12:00 noon, Mobile Police responded to the report of a robbery at the location. The subject entered the store, acted as if he was armed with a gun and demanded the clerk open the cash register. When the clerk could not open the register, the suspect smashed it open, removed the money and fled the store. The suspect also threatened the clerk several times in the process of the robbery.

A vehicle description was developed and about two hours later, robbery detectives spotted a vehicle matching the description. Detectives were able to take the suspect into custody without incident.
