Mobile Police Arrest Suspect in Multiple Robberies, Theft

Mobile Police Robbery Detail along with the Intelligence Unit conducted a six week investigation into suspect James Michael Curtis. On Friday, July 22, 2011, Curtis was located and arrested.

Curtis was found to be in possession of a stolen vehicle taken from the Pilot station located on Theodore Dawes Road. During the investigation, it was discovered that Curtis was also responsible for the robbery at Hershey's Ice Cream Shop, the robbery at Master Cleaners and the robbery at Bebo's Springhill Market on Old Shell Road.

Curtis was arrested on the following charges:

One count Robbery First Degree
Two counts Robbery Third Degree
One count Theft First Degree
