On Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at approximately 1:30 a.m. officers responded to the area of Sage Avenue at Old Shell Road for multiple shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located 22 year old, Eric Renard Davis, who was shot multiple times as he sat in his vehicle stopped at a traffic light on Sage Avenue. Davis' vehicle rolled forward before finally resting against a utility pole. Mobile Fire / Rescue Department responded to the scene and pronounced Davis deceased.
