Mobile Police Department Makes An Arrest In Four Year Old Murder Investigation

As a result of Mobile Police Department's continuing investigation we are pleased to announce the arrest of 23 year old David Tremaine Jones in a cold case murder.

On January 2, 2011 at approximately 5:00 p.m. Mobile Police Officers responded to the 1500 block of Eagle Drive for a report of one shot. Upon the officers' arrival, they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. Mobile Fire Rescue responded and the man was pronounced dead on the scene.

Preliminary results of the investigation reveal that the deceased man has been identified as 25 year old Darius Longmire. Mr. Longmire was a victim in a previous incident on December 30, 2010 that resulted in a death on Abrams Street.
