Mobile Police Department's Family Intervention Program
"Operation Christmas Angels"
The Mobile Police Family Intervention Team who has a partnership with St. Paul's Episcopal Community Services Team will be giving out Christmas gifts to youth in the Rodger Williams Housing Community. This is the second year that both organizations have partnered together to provide Christmas gifts for youth in the Rodger Williams Community. Mrs. Leslie Lerner is the director of the St. Paul's Episcopal Community Services Team, and for over the last month she and her staff have worked effortlessly in collecting Christmas gifts for over (92) youth residing in the Rodger Williams Housing development.
St. Paul's Community Service Team has not only assisted the Mobile Police Department Family Intervention Team with "Operation Christmas Angels", but with academic and social service needs to youth receiving services from the program. The main goal of the two organizations is to collectively work together to assist youth and families throughout the City of Mobile.
On December 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. both organizations will be on hand along with student and parent volunteers to help pass out Christmas gifts to all the "Christmas Angels" at the Rodger Williams Daycare located at 308 Simington Drive Mobile, Alabama.
