Mobile Police Investigate a Homicide on Better Street Update

On March 14, 2012, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Mobile Police Department responded to Better and Minor Streets for a report of one shot. Upon arrival, they found the victim, 25 year-old Keith Mario Gandy, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Gandy was transported to the University of South Alabama Medical Center, where he later died.

Through the investigation, detectives have determined that 27 year-old Tyrone Leon Brooks Jr is responsible for the death of Keith Gandy. On March 20, 2012, at a residence near Atlanta, Police in Georgia arrested Brooks. Tyrone Leon Brooks Jr has been charged with Murder and is currently pending extradition to Mobile.
