Mobile Police Investigate a Homicide on Brazier Drive

On May 10, 2011 at approximately 1:10 a.m. mobile Police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Brazier Drive in the Roger Williams Housing Complex. Upon the officers' arrival, they discovered a white vehicle on Dr. Martin Luther King Avenue that had crashed into a utility pole with a deceased male in the vehicle. Officers then found a 31 year old female victim on Brazier drive with multiple gunshot wounds to her legs.

Preliminary results of the investigation reveal the deceased male has been identified as 34 year old Detrick January from Mobile. The female was transported to the University of South Alabama Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.
