Mobile Police Investigate a Homicide on Carlyle Close

On July 2, 2011 at approximately 7:40 a.m. Mobile Police responded to a report of shots fired and possibly a man shot at the Pine Bend Apartments located 3700 Carlyle Close. Upon arrival, officers found three adult males with apparent gunshot wounds. Two of the injured men were transported by Mobile Fire Rescue to the University of South Alabama Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries and one adult male was pronounced dead on the scene.

Preliminary results of the investigation reveal the deceased male has been identified as 24 year old Charles White from Prichard. The three men, who were all known to each other, were involved in an ongoing dispute when shots were fired killing White and injuring two men.
