Mobile Police Investigate a Homicide on St. Stephens Road

On September 3, 2011 at approximately 12:24 a.m. Mobile Police responded to a report of a male shot in the 1900 block of St. Stephens Road. Upon arrival, officers found a male with multiple gunshot wounds. Mobile Fire Rescue responded and the male was pronounced dead on the scene.

Preliminary results of the investigation reveal the male victim has been identified as 41 year old Kenneth Earl Harris from Mobile. Detectives have determined that Harris was involved in an altercation with another male when he was shot.

The suspect involved was described as a black male, dark complexion, 5'6" to 5'7" solid build, shoulder length dreadlocks, khaki shorts and a black shirt.
