Mobile Police Investigate a Homicide on Van Dorn Street

On May 9, 2011 at 5:22 p.m. Mobile Police responded to the 1600 block of Van Dorn Street for a report of a male down in a vehicle. Upon the officers' arrival, they found a male with an apparent gunshot wound. Mobile Fire Department responded and the male was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives have identified the deceased male as 40 year old Emmanuel Maclean.

Homicide detectives will continue the investigation and more information will be released as it becomes available.
