Mobile Police Investigate a Homicide on Virginia Street

On March 24, 2011 at 1:28 a.m. Mobile Police responded to the 1700 block of Virginia Street for a report of two people shot. Upon the officers' arrival, they found a man and a woman that had both been shot. Mobile Fire Department responded and both were pronounced dead on the scene.

Preliminary results of the investigation revealed the man has been identified as 29 year old Cornelius Morrissette, and the female has been identified as 30 year old Standanise Dees.
