Mobile Police Investigate a Homicide on Vista Bonita Drive East

On July 20, 2010 at 5:15 p.m. Mobile Police responded to a report of one shot in the 1800 block of Vista Bonita Drive East. Upon their arrival, police found 26 year old Dwayne Miller standing in the driveway and found 47 year old Fredrick Edwards inside of the house with multiple gunshots wounds. Dwayne Miller was detained without incident, and Fredrick Edwards was pronounced dead on the scene.

Preliminary finding of the investigation reveal that Dwayne Miller is responsible for the death of Fredrick Edwards. Both of the men live in the residence, and Fredrick Edwards was in a dating relationship with Dwayne Miller's mother. The events leading up to the shooting will continue to be under investigation.

Dwayne Miller has been arrested and charged with Murder.
