Mobile Police Investigate a Shooting Incident

On October 7, 2011 at 12:52 a.m. Mobile Police responded to a report of an adult male shot outside of the Pathway Apartments located at 2568 Florida Street South. Upon arrival, officers found the victim with an apparent gunshot wound to his head. The male was transported to the University of South Alabama Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

Preliminary results of the investigation reveal the 20 year old adult male victim was attempting to commit a robbery when a 26 year old male fired several shot striking the robbery suspect in the head. The 26 year old man then notified police of the incident.
