Mobile Police Investigate a Traffic Fatality on Moffett Road

On November 23, 2010 at approximately 7:30 p.m. Mobile Police responded to a traffic crash with injuries on Moffett Road just west of Wolf Ridge Road. Upon arrival, officers found three vehicles involved, and one of the vehicles had overturned. Mobile Fire Department responded and a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary results of the investigation revealed the deceased man has been identified as 29 year old David Ivory Jenkins from Mobile. Mr. Jenkins was traveling east bound on Moffett Road driving a 2005 Ford Explorer and collided with a Ford Windstar Van travelling west on Moffett Road. Mr. Jenkins then collided with a Ford F650 truck head on causing his Explorer to overturn. David Jenkins was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
