Mobile Police Investigate an Attempt Murder

On May 9, 2012 at approximately 4:50 p.m. Mobile Police responded to a report of a male shot in the 1200 block of Duval Street. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male with apparent gunshot wounds to his body. Mobile Fire-Rescue responded and transported the victim to the University of South Alabama Medical Center.

Through the investigation detectives have determined that 20 year-old Donnie Matthews, during a dispute with the victim, produced a handgun and fired several shots at the victim. Donnie Matthews has been arrested and charged with Attempt Murder.
