Mobile Police Investigate Baby Buried in Backyard

On Thursday, October 08, 2015 at approximately 11:49 a.m. officers responded to the 3700 block of Swansea Drive for a possible baby deceased in the backyard of the residence.

Preliminary investigation revealed 29 year old Ashley Wilkins recently gave birth to a baby. After giving birth to the baby Wilkins buried the baby in the backyard of her residence. Police is unsure if the baby was alive at the time of birth.

On Thursday, October 15, 2015, Homicide Detectives signed a warrant for Abuse of a Corps against Wilkins.
