Mobile Police Investigate Bank Robbery

On January 6, 2012 at approximately 9:20 a.m., Mobile Police responded to a bank robbery at State Bank and Trust at 7785 Cottage Hill Road. Officers were advised a male entered the bank armed with a gun and demanded money from the teller. The teller complied and gave the subject an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect, described as a light-skinned male, approximately 5'11" and 200 — 220 pounds, left the bank in a late-model gray Mitsubishi Galant traveling east. This vehicle was later discovered abandoned on Rotterdam Road.
