Mobile Police Investigate Burglary First Degree, Homicide on Houston Street

On April 27, 2014, at approximately 9:00 a.m., Mobile Police responded to the 50 block of Houston Street for a report of one shot. Upon arrival, police discovered a black male in his early 20s was shot on the front porch of a residence. The subject was pronounced dead on scene.

Investigation revealed the deceased subject was armed with a gun and was attempting to make unlawful entry into the residence. The homeowner armed himself and shot the subject.

The case is ongoing and the investigation will continue.
