Mobile Police Investigate Drug Arrest and Suspect Death

On June 3, 2011 at 7:58 a.m. officers were in Theodore when they observed a suspicious truck parked at 5989 Highway 90. While investigating the truck, officers discovered drug activity at the building and detained 36 year old Jeffrey Coolidge.

While officers were on the scene, a second man arrived. The officers were arresting the second suspect, a struggled ensued. The suspect then produced a handgun and shot himself in the head. The suspect was pronounced dead on the scene.

The investigation revealed the suspects have a major operation to grow, harvest and traffic marijuana.
