Mobile Police Investigate Homicide on Banks Avenue

On Sunday, February 16, 2014, at approximately midnight, Mobile Police responded to the 1600 block of Ruby Street for a report of a domestic violence complaint. Upon arrival, officers found 29 year-old Kenneth Buchannan injured on Banks Avenue. Buchannan had been stabbed by the female with which he was arguing during a physical altercation. Buchannan was transported to U. S. A. Medical Center where he died from his injuries.

The investigation revealed evidence the female subject may have been acting in self defense when the stabbing occurred. This case was reviewed with the Mobile County District Attorney's office and the case will be presented to the Mobile County Grand Jury.
