Mobile Police Investigate Homicide on Dauphin Street

On Sunday, April 28, 2013, at approximately 6:00 a.m., Mobile Police responded to the 3100 block of Dauphin Street in reference to one shot. Upon arrival, they found 26 year-old Obrien Sanptor Russell suffering from a gunshot wound. Mobile Fire Rescue arrived and Russell was pronounced dead on scene.

Investigation revealed Russell was shot after an ongoing dispute with two black male subjects, who left the premises prior to police arrival.
