Mobile Police Investigate Officer for Misconduct

The Mobile Police Department is conducting an administrative investigation of a Mobile Police Officer. Officer Jonathon Anthony, assigned to First Precinct Patrol is alleged to have had inappropriate sexual contact with a 26 year old female that was under arrest and in the officer's custody. After receiving information on September 3, 2010, an investigation was initiated and Officer Anthony was placed on administrative duty.

According to Chief Micheal T. Williams, "This type action violates the oath of office and is the type of behavior that will never be tolerated in the Mobile Police Department."

The investigation will continue and more information will be released as it becomes available.
