Mobile Police Investigate Repoll Road Homicide

On Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at approximately 9:45 a.m., Mobile Police responded to the 1900 block of Repoll Road for a possible homicide. Upon arrival, police found 53 year-old Maureen Lomax Day suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Mobile County EMS arrived and pronounced her dead on the scene.

Investigation revealed that, at the location, 26 year-old Derek Michael Boyce, son of the deceased, shot and killed his mother. Boyce was taken into custody without incident. He was arrested and charged with Murder in this case.

Homicide detectives will continue the investigation.
