Mobile Police Investigate Two Traffic Fatalities

On January 18, 2012 at 4:30 a.m. Mobile Police responded to University Boulevard and Morrison Drive for a report of a single vehicle crash. Upon arrival, officers discovered that 30 year-old Todd Guarino was traveling south bound on University Boulevard when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree. Mobile Fire-Rescue responded and Guarino was pronounced dead on the scene.

On January 18, 2012 at 6:58 a.m. Mobile Police responded to Cody Road and Hitt Road for a report of a single vehicle crash. Upon arrival, officers found that while south bound on Cody Road, 45 year old James Daniel had a medical episode causing him to leave the roadway. Mobile Fire-Rescue responded and transported the victim to Providence Hospital where he died.
